Acknowledgements

Acknowledgement of country

Board Directors and Staff of Better Health Network (BHN) acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first peoples and Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and waterways on which we live, and we acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We honour and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

Better Health Network is committed to working in partnership with our local Indigenous community and addressing health inequity for all First Nations people.

Acknowledgement of safety to speak up

BHN supports an environment which invites robust and honest discussion with the expectation that it is delivered in a respectful manner and aligned to our values of Accountability, Collaboration, Respect and Courage. This includes an invitation to explore what is going well and what we can learn and improve on.

Inclusivity

We are proud to provide an inclusive service and work environment where individuals feel safe, accepted, affirmed, and celebrated.

Better Health Network is committed to equity, irrespective of cultural or linguistic background, sexual orientation, gender identity, intersex status, religion or spiritual beliefs, socio-economic status, age and abilities.
